Macmini as local webserver
MacPorts does the trick! I had no luck with HomeBrew, that does not support macOS High Sierra 10.13.6, the last version that supports my mid 2011 Macmini. Though Apple recommands to give it for free to them for recycling, using it as a local webserver is even better for the environment and saves me the money of buying a new one.

ProFTPD on macOS
Testing new pages of your website on a local testing server before going live, will safeguard from any embarassments when you go live. So instead of giving my mid 2011 Macmini to Apple for recycling, why not use it as a local testing server? HomeBrew doesn't support my old Macmimi,
MacPorts
however does it!

PLEX on older AppleTV's
One of the things that is missing on the older AppleTV's (gen 2 or 3) is a Plex-client. Wouldn't it be a great idea to be able to stream your movies and other media from your Plex Media Server (PMS) to your AppleTV? Well, it is possible, and you
don't need to jailbreak
your AppleTV.

OpenVPN in TrueNAS Jail
This how-to is about the installation and configuration of the OpenVPN server in a jail on a TrueNAS 13 server, and the configuration of an OpenVPN Connect v3 client on your iPhone, Android, iPad, MacBook, PC or what have you. As example I set it up on my server (TrueNAS 13.0-U6.1), and a client on my iPad.
